Rags was a counterculture fashion magazine ahead of its time. Published monthly in San Francisco from June 1970 through June 1971, its focus was street fashion rather than the fashion found in store windows. At the time I was a high school student, and Rags had a profound impact on my life. It is my all-time favorite magazine -- interesting from a historical perspective and still relevant today.
Many thanks to Baron Wolman, renowned photographer and publisher of Rags, for his kind permission to post pages of the magazine here.
